How to check the remaining life of Drum Cartridges

toner

While toner provides the color of the text, the drum is what transfers the toner to the paper to deliver the desired outcome. This is a long-life supply item, but as with all other copier supplies, XETX recommends keeping one extra on hand to avoid machine downtime.  Depending on your workload, we recommend ordering a spare when the drum life is down to 30-40%. This is how to check the remaining life of your drum cartridge, or any long-life supply item.

Step 1: Select the Device App on your copier.

Step 2: Scroll down slightly and select Supplies.

It’s important to keep an eye on your copiers’ supply levels and place supply orders in plenty of time for them to arrive before you run out. Supplies are shipped directly from a warehouse and typically take 3-5 business days to arrive or 7-10 days if they are back ordered. Best practice is to keep one extra of each color toner, waste container, and a drum on hand to avoid downtime. The number to order supplies is 1-800-821-2797, option 2, then option 1 for metered. Be prepared to provide the representative with your serial number and shipping address. If you experience any difficulty, please reach out to us directly at (936) 569-1992. We’re here to help!
